Check out the National Convention page for a story about our 2017 trip
Spring lambing season has begun! Martha and Eleanor both gave birth to single lambs earlier this month. We have four more ewes due between now and March. We also have two pregnant Alpacas due in March.
We took in a bottle lamb “Oliver” at the beginning of the month. Oliver is a Jacob sheep, which is an unimproved & “goat-like” breed of sheep. He has A LOT of personality and the entire school has fallen in love with him. He lives in a pen in the classroom during day and comes home to Mrs. Melino’s farm after school. He will make a great ‘ambassador’ for our outreach and PALS program.
Upperclassmen are looking forward to attending the Massachusetts State FFA Convention in March and are preparing for individual and team competitions.
Massachusetts State FFA Officers visited our chapter in November. They led team-building activities, explained opportunities in FFA, shared personal stories of success in FFA, and inspired our members. Thanks!
